Roberts-Gordon Celebrates 1,000 Days Injury-Free in Buffalo Facility

At Roberts-Gordon, safety isn’t just a priority, it’s a core value embedded into our operations. This month, we are proud to celebrate an incredible milestone: 1,000 consecutive days injury-free at our Buffalo, NY manufacturing facility.

This achievement reflects the dedication, awareness, and teamwork of each employee who steps onto our plant floor each day. It’s not the result of a single initiative, but rather a sustained commitment to fostering a culture where safety comes first.

A Team-Driven Safety Culture

Reaching 1,000 injury-free days requires more than policies, it demands active participation from every member of the team. At Roberts-Gordon, safety is a shared responsibility supported by ongoing engagement and continuous improvement.

Key practices that have helped drive this milestone include:

  • Strong team member BBS (Behavior-Based Safety) observations and feedback that reinforce safe habits and encourage accountability
  • Monthly building safety walks to proactively identify and address potential risks
  • Quarterly hazard hunts focused on uncovering and eliminating unsafe conditions before they become incidents

This milestone belongs to Keith Kraska, Jeff Mason, and the entire Buffalo team. From the production floor to leadership, every individual has contributed to making safety a daily focus.

Looking Ahead

While 1,000 injury-free days is a major accomplishment, it’s not the finish line. Roberts-Gordon remains committed to continuously improving safety practices, reinforcing awareness, and helping ensure our employees go home safe each day.
